I was heading out to take some waterfront photos when a sudden storm rolled in. At first I was disappointed until I realized that I may be able to capture some storm photos.
I was able to capture these with my iPhone from my car.
I’m glad I was able get these because I’m not sure if I will do this again.
I like sailboats and I like bridges. When I see them both together my camera comes out automatically.
I took this yesterday at the Camden, NJ Waterfront.
Please let me know if you like seeing boats on the water as much as I do.

The sky can be so pretty after it rains!
A few weeks ago I discovered a Robin’s nest in my back yard. Luckily for me, the nest was situated in a place that allowed me to take some photos with a long lens from inside my house.
I was so fascinated with nature unfolding in my backyard that I watched and photographed the process on almost a daily basis.
Here are the eggs a few days before they hatched
I was careful to keep my distance when I took this shot of the nestlings. Their eyes wen’t open yet.
The baby robins grew quickly and the parents fed them constantly
One by one they all started to spread their wings and left the nest.
The robin family still lives in my yard. The mother is constructing another nest in a tree in front of my house. The location is not ideal for photography, but I will see what I can do.

If you like this one, I will post more.
I returned to the local office park where I photographed some landscaping a few weeks ago. This time I was armed with a variable neutral density filter.
I took this waterfall shot in bright sun using the ND filter set at maximum with a 2 second shutter speed.
I like B&W so I converted the photo, by removing the saturation in PhotoShop.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by.
I’m posting in hopes that someone can identify the insect in this photo. I took this picture as I was entering a mall in my neighborhood a few days ago.
I was startled when I saw this bug on the front door because it was over 2 inches long and appeared to be able to bit or sting. In spite of the “danger” the photographer in me took over and I grabbed a few shots with my iPhone.
I guess I got too close because after I took this photograph it immediately flew away. After waving my arms wildly in self defense, I looked around to see where it had gone, but it was nowhere in sight.
I continued into the mall and thought that this was the end of my encounter with the mysterious insect.
Fifteen minutes later while I was talking to a clerk he pointed and asked “is that huge thing on your shoulder real!”
This big bug had been calmly sitting on my shoulder as I walked through the mall.
I was able to brush it away and it flew up into a light fixture.
I’m still amazed that I wasn’t stung or bitten.
If you know what type of insect this is and if it does in fact sting, please leave a comment.
I’m curios to know if I was ever in any danger.

This tree is not far from my house. I photographed it one morning on my way to work. The sky was blue, the sun was rising and there was mist on the ground.
I liked the way the scene looked in my viewfinder. I hope you like it too.
