Rose in Candlelight

I love to take photos using natural light.  Don’t get me wrong, I use a strobe or flashgun when the situations calls for it.

A little while ago I decided to experiment with candlelight.  I decided to use a Yankee Candle to illuminate a yellow rose.

I tried a few different configurations and ended up with these 2 photos.  The candle was the only light in the room and I used a 10 second exposure time.

I hope you like them.

Please let me know if any of you have used candlelight in your photos.

  1. These are just gorgeous! I’d love to re-post that last one on my site – may I? (You’d get full credit of course 🙂 ) I love the colours, they’re so warm and vibrant.
