Pond in Black and White
Even though I love travel photography I often shoot within a few miles of my home. On those occasions when I’m in a familiar location I try hard to add variety in other ways.
In this photo I tried to use the fog over the water and trees to make my local spot “feel” different. On a sunny day this pond is full of wildlife and activity. I like how the fog made it appear still and almost mystical. I converted the photo to black and white hoping to enhance that effect.
I plan to go back to this location under different conditions to try again.

Wow…it would be hard to improve on this one. Beautiful in black and white…I think it brings more character and the colors would be distracting.
