The Simeone Automotive Museum

My company recently held an off-site meeting at a really cool location. The Simeone Automotive Museum, located near the Philadelphia Airport, houses one of the worlds greatest collections of racing sports cars. It’s the home of Dr. Fred Simeone’s personal sports car collection, valued at over 200 Million dollars.

According to the museum’s website “The collection contains over 60 of the rarest and most significant racing sports cars ever built.”

I saw high powered Aston Martins, super charged Alfa Romeos, and speedy Maserati’s, circa 1920 thru 2002, just to name a few. I even saw a 1912 National Speed Car, a very successful pre-WWI racing car. Most of the cars are in great shape and some are actually driven on “demonstration days” behind the museum.

I took these photos with my iPhone and the Olloclip lens. I decided to use the Fisheye Lens for some of the photos because I really like the effect.

The Museum is very impressive and would be a lot of fun for people who like fast expensive cars. It is open to the public and tickets are only $12 for adults.
