If you are an iPhone user that likes to take pictures then the new Olloclip is the latest cool gadget to add to your list.
The Olloclip http://www.olloclip.com is a small handy snap on device that adds fisheye, wide angle, and macro lenses to your iPhone 4 or 4S. It’s so easy and fun to use that you will find yourself looking for interesting subjects to photograph just so you can use it!
You clip on the device in one direction to use the Fisheye lens. Clip it on in the other direction to use the wide angle. Unscrew the wide angle to use the macro.
The Fisheye lens is by far the most fun to use. It captures almost a 180 degree field of view. Images have the fishbowl type barrel distortion at the edges, but this can provide some neat effects on many subjects
I took this photo of my own shadow while I was standing on a red brick walkway using the Fisheye lens
The Macro lens has a 10X magnification factor and allows you to get within inches of an object. This photo of a portion of my watch shows it power and clarity.
The wide angle doubles the field of view of your iPhones camera and is useful if you need to take a shot in close quarters.
The Olloclip sells for $79 bucks and comes with a handy little carrying bag. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to add a new dimension to their iPhone photography.
